Dr. Wagner Promoted to Regional Medical Director
Milford Anesthesia Founder, AnesthesiaCare Executive Recognized for Contributions to Record Growth
January, 2012– Dallas, TX. – EmCare, the nation’s leading provider of physician management services, had a year of record growth in 2011. Dr. Jeffrey Wagner, an executive vice president at AnesthesiaCare, the anesthesia services affiliate of EmCare, was an instrumental part of that success. As a result, Dr. Wagner has been promoted to Regional Medical Director of Anesthesia Services for the North Division of AnesthesiaCare.
Milford Anesthesia Associates, LLC, joined the EmCare family of companies in 2010. Dr Wagner was appointed as executive vice president within AnesthesiaCare as part of that merger.
Since becoming part of AnesthesiaCare, Wagner has overseen a 2011 expansion to deliver anesthesia services to St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. In December of 2011, he helped further guide the expansion to deliver anesthesia services to Merrimack Valley Hospital in Massachusetts. Wagner also spearheaded the administrative reorganization of Milford Anesthesia, adding a scheduling coordinator and credentialing coordinator to that organization while naming Catherine Donovan to the role of practice administrator.
Wagner has more than 25 years of health care experience. He acts as diplomate and consultant for both the American Board of Anesthesiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Wagner serves on the board of the Connecticut Ambulatory Surgery Center Patient Safety Organization and is a former instructor of advanced cardiac life support for the American Heart Association.
Dr. Wagner earned his M.D. from Michigan State University and completed his anesthesia residency at the Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. He received an MBA from the University of South Florida and he continues to practice medicine in Connecticut.
